<description>I designed these motion boards as part of a pitch for Intel. The objective was to introduce a new processor that will help support mobility in tech devices through out the market place.

The video would be presented as a story, unfolding visually like a series of greeting cards. The warm emotive style of the visual presentation of the product benefits departs from a typical (and often colder) technology play. It would represent real life and real benefits through everyday interactions within one family.

It was created at Liquid Agency under Creative Director, Ken Cook.

<description>I designed and animated this spot for Intel. The video introduces the processing power of two new Intel chips - the i5 and i7, and illustrates how they can be used in the workplace without the need for extra graphics cards to support the heavy use of HD video that is now being required of businesses.

The story follows one worker over the course of the day as he works in different locations seamlessly using HD video everywhere he goes. Each scene is torn away to reveal a new scene as he moves from one task to the next and from one location to the next.

It was created at Liquid Agency under Creative Director, Sam White.

<description>I conceptualized and designed this spot for Hitachi's launch of their new G-Connect Device which is wireless storage device that allows you to more easily share content with friends and family. It is currently featured on their website.

The story follows a guy who just got back from a music fest and wants to share the content with his friends -- streaming music, photos, etc. The style is a meshing of treated photography from an actual music fest, Sasquatch, combined with playful colors and hand-drawn type.

Both myself and the talented Colin Brandt brought motion to the spot. It was created at Liquid agency.

		<guid isPermaLink="false">2009536</guid>

<description>In an eye opening and meditative bedtime book with a distinctive 1960s aesthetic, two children take and imaginative journey around the world and into the past. Montierth alternates between past and present: "Right where you are now, quiet streets twist together. But once….It was lava that twisted for miles." Rendered in a bold, Technicolor palette, Burke illustrations invite readers to imagine possibilities of an ever-changing world. Ages 2-7.

As Reviewed in Publisher's Weekly (9/5/11)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is my first fully illustrated Children's book. I can't tell you how excited I was to see the printed object for the first time, to gleefully turn every page, and then to even smell the pages. (too much I know!) This project has been every bit a labor of love for me and a learning process. Each illustration was researched, from the prehistoric beasts to the different vegetation... then I just went with it. I really enjoy experimenting with unconventional color palettes and trying to figure out how the landscapes would transform in the folds of the page from one time period to the next while still being indescribably tied to one another.

Right Where You Are Now is written by Lisa Montierth and published by Craigmore Creations.

<description>I illustrated and designed this spot for Intel. It was designed to introduce new "smart surface" technologies that will one day become commonplace around the home.

Our concept visually was for the whole piece to be tied together by one continuous line that grows to build the various scenes emphasizing a seamless connectivity between rooms, devices and activities through out the home. The biggest personal challenge for this spot was creating each environment using only one continuous line -- which, excluding the blueprint, came to life.

It was created at Liquid Agency under Creative Director, Zoe Phillips. All animation was done by Ivan Vidovic.

About:

Ashley is an art director, illustrator, and motion designer. She grew up under the pine trees in the hot southern reaches of Georgia, once lived in a tree house in Brooklyn, and eventually felt the call out West and currently calls Portland,OR home.

She loves most things miniature - and conversely, anything blown up much larger than it should be. She enjoys searching for the hidden places in dioramas, digging through old family portraits, and drawing with ink and brushes. Ashley never underestimates good lighting, always admire trees in rows, delights in visual music, and has a penchant for word games.

<description>I storyboarded, designed and illustrated this commercial for Sendori.com through Liquid Agency under the creative direction of Ken Cook. Currently, it is featured prominently on Sendori's site. The commercial illustrates through the metaphor of a blind date, the importance of having the right address -- and in Sendori's case, the customer having the clearest path to the Brand's website no matter the typos and misspellings.

The animation for this was a massive effort completed by Ivan Vidovic and myself. We filmed and rotoscoped the entire production over the course of 3 weeks.
