Below are samples of my character designs, finished styleframes, and a partial storyboard for a short film I directed entitled, 'Wound Up'. The soundtrack was created by Leonardo Velasquez composed of recordings I made - of the insides of rusty clocks, grinding against pavement, pounding, and metal coils. The audio was instrumental in building up the tension though repetitious beats and choruses along with the repetition of images and animated actions. The short was specifically about the anxiety of day to day life and the mechanism of routine. It made it's debut at the MOCINE Narrative Film Festival in New York, NY. All of the art was ink wash on paper and then composited digitally and animated in After Effects.
